• Students may, with counselor referral, take an academic course via distance learning from a partner high school while enrolled at Red River. Courses include English III, Algebra II and government. Academic Services Center Success begins with academic skills. Individualized, self-paced instructional programs are developed for each student to achieve the skills necessary for career success. Basic academic and computer instruction, math, communications, and employability skills are reviewed. Preparation for the GED and ACT is also available. Students also have the opportunity to access career, occupational and scholarship information, plus college listings. Internet usage and English as a second language assistance are also offered. | Assistance in planning an educational and career path is available through the testing services at the Technology Center. This resource is offered to individuals, schools, and business and industry. Testing is free to those enrolled in Technology Center programs. The cost for the SAGE (System for Assessment and Group Evaluation) test is $100. The cost for the TABE (Tests of Adult Basic Education) is $50. Financial aid is available for eligible adult students. Tuition for in-district post-secondary students is $1,050.00 for half days; $2,100.00 full-time. Students who reside outside the Technology Center District: Half-day is $2,100.00; full-time is $4,200.00. Next Step... 13th & 14th Year Scholarship Red River Technology Center offers a tuition scholarship to eligible individuals who meet the following criteria: • Attend full-time, day programs. • Possess a high school diploma or a high school equivalency diploma. • Graduates may be awarded the tuition scholarship within two years after completing high school. • Students who do not possess a high school diploma must be actively pursuing an alternative diploma within two years of the time the applicants’ graduating class would have finished high school. Guidelines for applying and maintaining the scholarship are: • Maintain at least a B grade average. • Maintain 90% attendance. • Make satisfactory progress in the program by passing competencies at designated times. • Tuition scholarship amounts will not exceed $682.50 per year for full-time or $341.25 for part-time. The tuition will not exceed the actual cost of tuition for a single course. The scholarship will be awarded at the beginning of each semester. Additional fees may apply to some Career Pathways. Red River Technology Center has determined that the disclosure of information regarding textbook and supplemental material fees is not practicable: this information is “To be determined.” Please see the Red River Technology Center Counselor for more information.

| High School Students who attend Red River Technology Center will spend three hours (one-half day) at the Tech Center and the other half-day at their home high school. Students can earn elective credit toward high school graduation by attending the Tech Center. Contact your high school counselor or the Tech Center counselor for enrollment approval. Adults: Adults are eligible for enrollment in all daytime programs except Cosmetology. Attendance may be for three hours (one-half day) or six hours (full day). Information regarding tuition and financial aid may be obtained by contacting the enrolling officer or financial aid office. |

Who is eligible? 1. Anyone who is age 16 or older and resides within the boundaries of the following 12 school districts is eligible to enroll: Bray-Doyle, Central High, Comanche, Duncan, Empire, Grandview, Marlow, Temple, Terral, Velma-Alma, Walters, Waurika 2. Persons residing outside the named districts may also enroll. The tuition rate is increased for non-district residents. Call 580-255-2903 for details.

Tuition and Fees for Short Term Courses: Tuition is due and payable in full the first day of class. The cost for books, supplies, and materials will vary, depending on class requirements. Residents outside the Red River Technology Center district will be charged an increased tuition rate. Refund Policy Tuition will be refunded upon withdrawal from a short-term adult class as follows: Withdrawal Refund After the 1st class 100% minus a $5 registration fee After the 2nd class 75% After the 3rd class 50% After the 4th class 25% No refunds will be issued after the 5th class meeting. No refund will be issued for classes which are 24 hours or less in length. Withdrawal must be done in person or by phone. Class Cancellation: All short-term adult education classes require a minimum number of students. A class is subject to cancellation if there is insufficient enrollment. Every effort will be made to notify enrolled students if a scheduled class cannot be held. |
